The EEKBS was developed at the University of the Pacific, under contract to the National Technology Transfer Center (NTTC). The system facilitaties identification of experts within the Evironmental Protection Agency. The system accpts queries describing expertise areas, expands that query based on knowledge of environmental science and uses the expanded information to search for appropriate experts.
